Accommodation Introduction:
The Fettes Centre for Language and Culture (FCLC) provides high-quality on-campus accommodation for study tour students. All accommodation facilities are located within the campus, ensuring students study and live in a safe and convenient environment. The student dormitories offer various room types, including single, double, triple, quadruple, and multi-bed rooms for 5 to 8 people, catering to different needs.
Room assignments will be arranged based on the specific circumstances of the students, with an effort to accommodate special requests such as mixed nationality arrangements or gender-separated accommodations. Check-in time is 6 PM on the day of arrival, and check-out time is 9 AM on the day of departure. During the stay, Scottish, Continental, and international cuisine will be provided to meet the tastes of different students.
Each dormitory building is staffed with at least three FCLC employees, offering round-the-clock care and support to ensure students feel the warmth of home even in a foreign land. The dormitories feature private bathrooms and toilet facilities, ensuring students’ privacy and comfort. Additionally, there are communal activity spaces within the dormitory buildings, allowing students to relax and interact with peers from around the world during their free time, broadening their international perspective.

The average class size for the course is 12 students, with a maximum of 14, ensuring that each student receives ample attention and guidance. Before students arrive, the school will provide an online assessment to help them determine the appropriate class level. FCLC offers more than just English courses; it also includes academic, sports, performing arts, and various group activities to promote students’ overall personal development. Off-campus activities will include visits to the National Museum, Calton Hill, a Harry Potter tour, and Holyrood Palace, providing a new cultural experience.
