Exam Introduction
CAT4 (Cognitive Abilities Test 4th Edition) is one of the most widely used reasoning tests for students aged 6-17 in the UK. After years of research and development, the assessment focus of CAT4 is not on students’ performance in core subjects, but on allowing schools to have a broader and comprehensive understanding of students’ learning methods and academic potential, so as to formulate personalized learning plans and teaching models.
CAT4 test is mainly divided into 4 parts:
1. Verbal Reasoning
2. Non-verbal Reasoning
3. Spatial Reasoning
4. Quantitative Reasoning
The test is conducted in the form of multiple choice questions, and each question has 5 answers (A-E) to choose from. There are 7 different levels in the CAT4 test. Each level includes 3 tests and the duration of each test is 45 minutes. The duration of all the tests in one level is 2 hours and 15 minutes.
